The East Midlands Restorative Justice Directory is an initiative of the EMRJ Forum, a professional network welcoming everyone in the region interested in RJ.
We are looking forward to welcoming our members back for our final EMRJ forum of 2022 tomorrow. We will be welcoming some new members, reflecting on the EMRJ forum so far and reviewing how we can continue to get the best out of the fourm and continue to share best practise
Our very own Restorative Justice Practitioner, Andy, is discussing how Victim CARE offers restorative justice.
"We offer RJ, it is not time bound and is offered with huge amounts of support along the way"

Nicola is now explaining their experience of restorative justice and how the process with @NottsVictimCARE helped them.
The reason Nicola explored the option of restorative justice was because:
"I just wanted him to know that I forgave him"

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty the Queen. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with her family during this sad time.
Brilliant quote: “Good leaders know the difference between:
Hearing and listening
Knowing and understanding
Talking and discussing
Linked in connections and true relationships
Friendliness and emotional intelligence
Indeed, it’s often what gives them their competitive edge.”

We are currently working with a psychiatric hospital for young people - they’ve introduced restorative practices & recorded incidents have instantly dropped by 2/3rds on the ward. The enthusiasm & appetite for working this way is humbling & how it sings to everyone’s core values
We believe that people who commit crimes have the potential to turn their lives around. But many don’t get the support they need to do so. #RestorativeJustice allows them to acknowledge the harm they caused, make amends & give back to their community.
The APPG is pleased to see that Restorative Justice is to be considered as part of the commission on the Grenfell Tower fire.
It is important that the principles of restorative practices are considered across the range of restorative interventions.
