Spent some time this weekend exploring Fort Pickens in Pensacola, FL. You have to drive down a long stretch of beach before entering the park — a hefty $25 fee per car! Part of NPS, though, so our National Parks pass got us in without issue. #pensacola #florida

@fmcleanphoto Omg wow to all of the languages you speak! And yeah, it feels like I’ve literally never used this part of my brain. I have always been pretty bad at languages, but at the same time, I’ve never dedicated time to actually learning. That time makes all the difference

Do you speak any other languages? I have been intensely learning Vietnamese for about a month now in preparation for my trip there in December. I really want to be able to roughly communicate with some amazing people. It’s definitely not easy!

@fndyrhappyplate Same here! When I would ask people about it, they would say it’s usually because 1) Vietnamese people like practicing their English or 2) they are not used to listening for Vietnamese from foreigners which makes it even harder for us 😆 makes sense though

Over two years later, I’m BOOKED TO GO BACK TO VIETNAM for a few weeks!!!!!! I started tearing up after I hit that “complete payment” button. I can’t wait to reconnect with so many people who made living there so incredible. It’s been a long time coming and I feel so blessed!
