Farewell Year 6! Well done on a fantastic year! A great final assembly today to say goodluck for high school and to welcome in the 2020 leadership team!
And that’s a wrap! 18 months on and we finally launched “Cooking for a Cause”. I am beyond proud of all of the students who worked so hard to create this book. We hope that you all love it as much as we do. Happy cooking everyone ☺️
We launched our ‘Cooking for a Cause’ cookbook tonight and it’s already flying out the door! All profits go to the Asylum Seeker Centre! Such an impressive product created by our students that’s making a real difference.
A busy day following up on our #PBL products! Sharing our close the loop book with the community, delivering waste free containers and cooking up some more bug biccies!
A fantastic event wrapping up Stage 3 #PBL! Sharing sustainable practices including #UpcyclingCPS , a powerful performance with a strong message about climate change, insect snacks, vertical farming and practices and processes to promote sustainability at school! Amazing work!
So proud of the way @kookaburrasCPS, @Bandicoots2019 and @QuokkasCPS were able to explain their products and justify why they are important for achieving a more sustainable future.
Some new posters up in our bathrooms made by L.M. He made these based on a suggestion by our expert, thought carefully about the audience and made three options which students voted on. Proud of all the thought he put into his final product. #sustainability#everylittlebit#pbl
Play group performing for the rest of stage 3 today. Incredible what they have pulled together! They were gracious in taking on some constructive feedback in preparation for the culminating event in week 9 🎭 #PBL#sustainability
You may have heard some serious spruiking this morning! These self motivated students are raising money to professionally publish a book about sustainable practices by selling fresh produce. It will be open again at 2.45pm, bring a gold coin donation if you would like to buy!
Awesome expert talk by Hannah this morning who stated the Trolley Bag Project. This not for profit social enterprise not only upcycles materials into reusable shopping bag, it also upskills and empowers people with disabilities. Lots of good ideas for #PBL
You can make lots of different things with buttons, thread, fabric and a needle. You can make t-shirts, bags, pants and so much more. Search up ways to make things with your old clothes and use this hashtag so we can see what you’ve made. #UpcyclingCPS
