According to the Gospels of both Matthew and Mark, Jesus himself visited Tyre. The Christian community there is certainly 2000 years old.
Israel has been killing Tyre Christians for a month.
There is a shrine and church in the hills where locals believe his mother Mary waited for him while he was in Tyre and Sidon.
I visited with Laith Marouf and we interviewed the priest who strongly supported resistance to Israeli occupation.
A settler attacked a mother, her child, and their dog in their home in Masafer Yatta in a horrifying scene during the first days of Eid. Settler violence is not isolated — it is enabled by government support and international complicity

"That tells you how wrong this whole system is. She was one of the first ones to go there. And then she got that professional punishment." Bardem says he’s “heard things” about facing similar consequences for speaking out:
"'They were going to call you about that project, but that’s gone. Or This brand was going to ask you to do the campaign, but they cannot.' It’s fine. I live in Spain. American studios are not the only place."

Video shows her being shoved to the ground and kicked, renewing concern over violence against Israel’s religious minorities.
