The life you want is on the other side of the boring and painful work you are refusing to embrace.

Happiness is the sense and feeling of making progress.

Progress happens when there is some form of movement.

With movement comes action, force, recalibration, deconstruction, reconstruction, stacking, iteration, push, pulling, shaking, mixing etc.

All of these come with friction, resistance and bruising.

This means that happiness comes at a price.

And that price involves pain and the boring work nobody wants to do.

If you do the work, you’ll make good enough progress.

If you don’t, life stands still.

So, if you want your life to become magically and significantly better, you will have to love the pain and sit with the boring work that will change your life.

Most importantly, you’d have to create systems and structures that help you outpersist the pain until you win.

That your employee who brings document A when you ask him/her to bring document B, runs 10 copies when you clearly instructed 7 copies, brings you a not so clean wine glass without realizing it, might not be careless. Everyone is having it tough in this country but they might be having it worse.

Please don't shout, don't be condescending, don't insult, don't automatically fire them, give them a chance to fix themselves. A little bit of kindness won't hurt.

You, the employee, no matter how hard it is, please try to always work with a clear head. As much as your employer wants to give you a chance to improve, little mistakes can be catastrophic.

In all, let us tolerate each other. In this country right now, all we have is God and each other. If we are not kind to each other, how can we fight the common enemy that is ruining the country?
