Why do we learn almost nothing about the Celtic Church?

By the time the Roman Catholics arrived, the British Isles already had an established priesthood and distinct Hebraic expression of the Christian faith.

Even more peculiar, Insular Christianity observed the 7th Day Sabbath, Passover on the 14th of Nisan, and much of the Pentateuch.

"From the background of Mosaic laws they drew their philosophy of community arrangement, regarding themselves as a tribal theocracy similar to Israel" (Hardinge, The Celtic Church in Britain, ch. 7, p. 157)

"It seems to have been customary in the Celtic churches of early times, in Ireland as well as Scotland, to keep Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath, as a day of rest from labor... In that case they obeyed the fourth commandment literally upon the seventh day of the week" (Moffat, The Church in Scotland, p. 140).

How did this unique and fascinating version of Christianity emerge on these distant islands?

We have to be completely honest about what’s happening to the younger generation—people 35 and under. They are legitimately being excluded from society. At least half cannot find a boyfriend or girlfriend, not to mention a spouse. Prices make people not want to buy anything. The system in place is not working for them. Many live with parents because no one wants a to barely afford a place that leaves them lonely and depressed. This is bad; there is no pretending anymore.
