Migrants against the Acceptable Standard of Health
@endashnow
Campaigning to end migrant disability and health discrimination in Aotearoa NZ. Calling on Govt to scrap the Acceptable Standard of Health (ASH). #EndASHNow
Join us to support mother prince and son Jap sahib. They've been forced to live split between countries for seven years and counting because of the discriminatory immigration policy. Sign the petition from here: https://t.co/QyQE9ULuuG
All Prince wants is for Jap Sahib to gain residency to be able to live in Aotearoa with her. Read and listen more about their story from here: https://t.co/cGsoCqICjm

2/ MASHA are always clear that we want the Acceptable Standard of Health criteria scrapped so no other family or migrant have to endure ordeals like this - because we all have value.
1/ VICTORY
We're so happy for and proud of the Vasquez family who were forced to advocate relentlessly over nine years for their residency due to our ableist immigration requirements. The road is not an easy one.

We are so relieved to hear that Noland’s fight with the immigration is over and he is granted with Permanent Residency Visa! Congratulations to Noland and his family.

We join over 150 organisations in calling on the government to scrap its harmful Treaty Principles Bill. This Bill doesn't respect the collective status of Māori as people of the land here nor recognise the ongoing impacts of colonisation.

The cruelty of an immigration system set on separating families who have lived here for decades and whose members are deeply reliant on each other is immense. They should be able to stay together here w/o fear of deportation or recrimination.

1/ Solidarity is one of our core values for MAASHA. We were proud to join with many other organisations in recognising that this government must honour our country's founding document Te Tiriti o Waitangi and that its plans for environmental destruction don't line up with that.
3/ Just as a Tiriti-based values-based immigration system holds so much potential for us as immigrants, ensuring Māori Tino Rangatiratanga or full sovereignty/decision-making over their own healthcare entity was such a crucial start.
Migrants like Stiffany should have equal chances to be granted visas and stay in NZ without having to prove economic worth. It's such a deficit-based and degrading policy. Fingers crossed for Stiffany. https://t.co/CgXJIo7iYV
5 years on, survivors of the March 15 attacks have fragmented support at best and are struggling for recognition. And bureaucracy stopping their family members for staying in NZ as long as needed is unacceptable. Sending solidarity. https://t.co/Bk4nH9GDoS
Minister Stanford scapegoating migrants for successive governments' failure to adequately invest in the health system (and education too) 🙄 we all contribute to our communities in different ways & all have inherent worth as human beings. #EndASHNow https://t.co/LKODXnWqYy
Successive Govts have treated disabled migrants & migrants w/ health conditions as cost burdens. What if Te Tiriti and values like manaaki were the foundation of our immigration system? It would look very different. #EndASHNow#nzpol
Erica Stanford says deporting autistic children “might sound heartless” because it is not only heartless but against our international human rights commitments. It is time for the Govt to treat disabled and neurodivergent migrants with respect and dignity. @NZQandA
New year, same dehumanising immigration policies but together we can support Noland so he and his family are able to stay in the country.
You can write to Erica Stanford to ask her to intervene:
