Always good to catch up with Isa Nacewa.
He still loves Leinster as much as ever. Hard to believe he is still the last Leinster captain to win the Champions Cup.
Here’s an enjoyable chat with him:

Meet Laikipia. He's one of our ex-orphans – rescued years ago as a calf, raised at our Voi Reintegration Unit in Tsavo, and now living wild in the bush around it. He comes home from time to time, the way ex-orphans tend to.
In 2024, our Keepers watched him court an ex-orphan called Sagala in full view of the stockades. The pair mated, then went their separate ways. Almost a year later, on Boxing Day, Laikipia turned up at the Voi stockades after months away. He stayed in the area. His daughter Sia was born to Sagala four weeks later.
We pioneered the rescue and reintegration of orphaned elephants, and this is what it builds toward. Rescued lives, going on to make new ones.

We’re laughing our way down memory lane with Toto! Our bull-with-a-heart-of-gold just embarked on the next step in his journey back to the wild, but we will always remember him as the sweet, sensitive soul we rescued four years ago.
One of our favourite Toto memories: when his adopted little sister, Korbessa, would jailbreak him out of his stable in the evening! Korbessa is as precocious as Toto is precious – he would never break the rules, but she has always been happy to flout them. Unwilling to adhere to bedtime, she happily ushered her ‘big bother’ our of his room so the pair could enjoy some extra playtime before the sun set.
Now, Toto is tiptoeing into independence in Tsavo while Korbessa is leading her own herd at Kaluku.
In the latest edition of Field Notes, Angela Sheldrick reflects on Toto’s extraordinary story – read it here: https://t.co/b2eX64dFpZ

A throwback to late January when Edie came calling with tiny Enid, her fifth calf, just a few days old.
Edie came to us in 1999, herself only a few months old, after falling into a well and being abandoned by her family at first light. There was a long stretch when we weren't sure if she had it in her to fight for life – grief-stricken, bruised, refusing her milk. She came through it slowly, with patience from her Keepers and the company of older orphans who refused to give up on her.
She is 27 now, and a matriarch in Tsavo. A mother of five – Ella, Eden, Eco, Enzo, and now Enid, all living together in the wild.
When you adopt or donate, this is what it builds toward. Not just rescue, but a life that goes on to make more life.
