Two years ago today, the three of us began Crips for eSims for Gaza. Alice, are you reading this? (We know you are.)
Today, we’re launching something special we’ve been working on, and we’re grateful Alice was able to see before her passing: our official logo! #ConnectingGaza
Alice Wong taught us that disabled people don’t just leave memories behind—they leave infrastructure. Lineages of care. Methods of collective survival. She named the connective tissue that holds us together, even across death, even across the losses that come too fast & often.
alice wong introduced me to the 10 principles of disability justice and i think they are vital to the continued existence of the human race so i am sharing them
Beloved disability rights activist Alice Wong co-founded Crips for eSims for Gaza, which raised millions of dollars to support internet and phone connectivity for Palestinians in Gaza during the genocide.
In doing so, she helped save countless lives.
RIP 💔
My hearttttt. Love You Alice. Tell Tinu we love her too. I have no words right now, I hope to find them. Thank you for all that you’ve done and shared ❤️

Nearly met the goal, please keep sharing. Additionally stop engaging with the Shark Attack stories that are misinformed. Please only engage with what the family share

As I sit here this morning, Black Messiah sits on my record player and I think of the ways in which D’Angelo’s music has helped shape me and my taste. I really don’t know what to think or say other than hoping he’s at peace.
D’Angelo’s passing is a meteoric loss for music. He was an artist that never got *enough* flowers, in my opinion. A curious and propulsive musician. Man. I’m absolutely devastated.
Neo-soul has lost giants this year. I mean, actual pillars of modern sound. The bridge between what was and what is.
Grateful to them. So, so sad that they are gone.
D’Angelo dropped two back to back classics with Brown Sugar and Voodoo, went on a 14 YEAR HIATUS and came back with Black Messiah.
There will never be another.
He literally gave his life documenting Israeli atrocities, and the day after his death they erase it all. It’s evil. They’re sending the message they will erase us. They justify and then conceal the war crimes, beyond complicity its collaboration in genocide.
the sound of d’angelo’s brown sugar album is what pushed j dilla to evolve from being pete rock-inspired into his eventual signature futuristic sound
this is an unreleased instrumental from the late 1994 brown sugar sessions where you can clearly hear dilla’s early fingerprints
