@jbsteinberg The stated reason for U.S. tariffs has changed multiple times. First it was drugs crossing the border, then it was illegal immigrants crossing the border. Now, it’s because of dairy tariffs because that sounds more reasonable if they ignore US’s own protectionist actions.
@nohopenofutur78@bovineflu@OatsCereral@CoopTory John a MacDonald would hate you and the current state of conservatives. He’d see conservatives wanting to be submissive to the U.S. and be absolutely appalled.
@on_guy_@jengerson Pure revisionism, it started with tariffs. Had nothing at all to do with a request for market access. The flow of illegal immigration and drugs was the first excuse.
@OhNoNotPatrick@RomulusNotNuma It wasn’t Trudeau’s govt causing uncertainty. You had harper approving poorly planned projects pretending environmental, indigenous, and bc provincial concerns weren’t real, only to have the approvals overturned in court. Trudeau’s approval was thorough and stuck.
@Smileyyeg@voteLabonte It was definitely a policy. The Conservatives centred their entire campaign on not searching the landfills. Imagine how horrible of a person you’d have to be to vote for that racist dogshit.
@lobob420@CTVNews No. You’re just a hyperpartisan idiot. Ontario has an entirely different approach to American booze. Sask internal policies don’t affect you at all. In any case, you should try & support local. Contribute to your community in a positive way instead of being miserable.
@lobob420@CTVNews You were the one complaining. I’m just telling you it’s your own fault. What is the point about getting upset about another province’s approach to the trade war. It doesn’t affect you at all. Scott moe’s tax doesn’t apply to you at all.
@lobob420@CTVNews You’re upset about saskparty policy about taxing US liquor in Sask when you live in Ontario & don’t drink? You love being miserable. You are definitely the reason your life sucks. Doesn’t matter where you move to, your life will always be shitty because you love being miserable
@lobob420@CTVNews 60 hours a week in Saskatchewan and you can’t afford to move to the U.S. Jesus Christ. Imagine blaming anyone else for that. You thinking you pay 50% tax is why I know for a fact you won’t qualify for a work visa down south.
@TimFLohan115@mattyglesias “Partnered”. We have a very limited trade deal. We’re buying a handful of cars so they buy our canola, after they tariffed our canola because we tariffed their cars at trump’s request.
@lobob420@CTVNews It’s incredibly easy to move to the U.S. If you’re unable to, they wouldn’t want you anyways. You’re the sick one bud. You’re the reason your life is shitty. It’s not the Liberals fault, it’s your fault. Crying about booze taxes, refusing to buy Sask goods. What are you doing?
@lobob420@CTVNews Levelling the playing field would be introducing TRQs on a specific sector, not blanket tariffs across multiple industries. You also have to ignore American subsidized industries to pretend that the U.S. wasn’t also engaging in protectionist policies. You’re just a hyperpartisan.
@lobob420@CTVNews Trump threatened Canada before carney was even a candidate to replace Trudeau, before Trudeau even decided to step down. Trump has been tariffing multiple countries right from the get go. This is entirely trump and you know it. Everybody knows it.
@lobob420@CTVNews We are. We’ve constantly been threatened and under attack. Your hatred for Canada and your desperation to be submissive to Trump is why I could never vote for your guys.
