In general they talk about how women are stupid, dirty losers for having sex with them (why they are obsessed with body counts and women being whores who should be punished for the sex they have with them). It’s the natural progression of the culture of sex with men in general
“Never so much as touched a child” “asks whether Chris Hansen is the predator” - yeah this would all be coming from the pedophile lobby and there is no reason to entertain their agenda unless you are one yourself. Thanks WaPo
You see these poor guys aren’t even thinking about sex when doing something sexually violent that they obviously have done before! They are lost and confused, and need your sympathy even more than men already get
This is actually the exact logic and defense fueling the move of sex crimes becoming non-sexual and non-violent. That boys/men are acting out of low self-esteem, confusion, a confused mental space they don’t mean. They weren’t trying to do sexually violent things on purpose!
So sorry to Maddie who had a pick-me rapist defender cover her story. Unfortunately many such cases and these are the voices that lead the choir. Meanwhile people are still in imaginary death penalty psychosis when the dominant feeling is to still cry over the offenders
That is the nature of predators. Commit offenses, see that people support and feel bad for you, evade any serious consequences and get to keep your life, try to get more resources to expand reach of damage. Men of every class bracket are doing this
Regular men already experience the utmost coddling, protection, and defense from society. They commit PLENTY of gender and sex offenses with no consequences from their communities or the law, they just want even more access to women and to expand their range of destruction via $$
Lean In was launched as a crisis management strategy to move attention away from mass rape problems at Facebook and other offices in addition to Epstein related child crimes that is the foundation of these companies Then they pushed it again with MeToo. No more
The homeless woman murdered in Central Park was a beloved artist and birdwatcher who made beautiful pieces dedicated to birds. She went by Lee Rogers, but also was known as Elise Bainbridge Hill. Her art was awesome. I hope her life story is shared and not just the grisly details
This was a difficult story to report. Some of these conversations stayed with me long after the interviews ended.
I spoke with these bright, ambitious women who came to Silicon Valley to pursue their dreams. They described being sexually harassed, assaulted or raped—often by someone they knew and trusted, someone they considered a friend.
What was especially painful to hear was what happened afterward. Some described being discouraged from going to the police. Others said they were told nobody would believe them. And someone was told that she was seeking attention and all was a lie. 🥲 Alongside the trauma came fears about losing friendships, careers and their place in a community they had hoped to belong to.
When the person you’re accusing has money, influence and powerful connections, seeking accountability can feel like David taking on Goliath.
Victims aren’t always women, although most of the accounts shared with me came from women. One woman’s point stayed with me: we need to confront the predatory mindset—the entitlement that allows someone to disregard another person’s boundaries.
Whisper networks can help people warn and protect one another. But they cannot substitute for a system people can trust: somewhere to turn for support, a fair process for investigating allegations, and meaningful accountability when misconduct is established—even when those responsible are wealthy or powerful.
To the women who shared their experiences with me: thank you. I know these are deeply personal and painful things to revisit. I appreciate your trust.
No single article can capture the full weight or complexity of someone’s experience. I take seriously the responsibility of telling these stories with care.
My hope is that bringing them into the light helps more people find support—and helps create a culture where pursuing your dreams doesn’t mean staying silent about harm.
If you ever unfortunately get into the situation of experiencing rape or sexual assault, please seek medical care and professional support, and consider reporting to the police when you feel safe and ready. You do not have to face this alone. What happened was not your fault, and you deserve care, support and to be heard.
I was deeply moved by the strength of the women I spoke with and their determination not to let what happened define their lives. They still have dreams to pursue, companies to build and so much ahead of them. They deserve every opportunity to shape that future. 🌷

Very sorry to these women. I have no idea how many times/cycles we have to do this with the tech industry before women decide we need to collectively 💣 it but every other year we are reminded it’s a sexual abuse factory that is not changing
Let’s wrap this “everyone obviously hates pedophiles” bullshit up. People love sex offenders of all kinds and treat defending them as their second job. Just like everyone is doing now!
People do not already know that, this is pedophile nation. This is predator coddling and protecting USA. The only “ethical violation” that occurred is that the people in charge were pissed about a prominent member of law enforcement getting caught
Sextortion, child porn, everything AI generated, grooming, cyberstalking + harassment, trafficking, murder, have never been bigger problems for kids stemming from online than now. Continuing to say “actually this a family thing” is living in the dark ages. You need to live in now
