As of 25 June 2026, 89.5 km (50.9%) of the Accra Kumasi Expressway Corridor has been cleared. This milestone was reached in 9 weeks, using just 45% of the estimated project duration. The remaining 86.1 km corridor will be completed over the next 13 weeks.
the NITA fees are not the only thing ghana's tech ecosystem needs to know about.
there's a pattern forming. in march 2026, the government launched iCOLMS-GH.
a mandatory platform that every courier and delivery company in ghana must plug into.

Yesterday, @CaptainSmart_tv made a statement that I believe many Ghanaians overlooked and it’s worth paying close attention to.
Our National Security, Police and National Signals Bureau have the capability to track anyone simply through their IMSI(International Mobile Subscriber Identity). Let’s talk about that for a moment.
The Role of the IMSI
Your IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity) is a unique number stored on your SIM card. It identifies you to your mobile carrier’s network whenever your phone connects to a cell tower. By knowing your IMSI, anyone or any system that can monitor cell tower traffic can potentially trace your movements or even intercept communications, depending on their level of access.
In the past, only intelligence and national security agencies possessed the technology to do this. But today, with advancements in cybersecurity and radio penetration testing, skilled professionals can also perform similar tasks.
Through specific techniques and specialized tools, it’s possible to intercept cell tower signals, identify connected devices, and even determine their approximate locations and communications.
It has become technically feasible for someone like me to capture IMSIs in any area I operate. Whenever I choose to, I can tap into nearby cell towers and gather IMSI data and the concerning part is that this vulnerability cannot be patched. It affects every type of device, whether you’re using an iPhone or an Android.
Just this morning, for instance, after turning on my device, I recorded over 650 IMSIs within a single minute. Among them, I identified an AirtelTigo user, two foreigners near a hotel one from Ivory Coast and another from Myanmar all through their IMSIs and carrier information. I can also say there are a lot of Telecel Users in the Area. With permission I used a friend’s IMSI to get the exact location of where he was.
The major issue is that the GSM protocol was designed decades ago, and IMSI transmission often happens without encryption during the initial handshake that’s why even modern phones are vulnerable.
By obtaining your IMSI, any skilled hacker or system capable of monitoring cell tower traffic can potentially track your location or even intercept your communications, depending on the extent of their access and capability.
There’s a reason I don’t teach Radio Penetration Testing😅.
Hope you’ve learnt something today🤝
