Mental fortitude does not mean never having a negative thought or self doubt. It's means prioritizing self talk and a mindset that enables you. While at the same time, acknowleging that the doubt and negativity creep in from time to time. Then, you have the power to combat them.
"Someone else's opinion of you doesn't change whether you can do it or not. Someone elses opinion of you doesn't decrease or increase the likelihood that you will do it. It's just their opinion of you. So why would we ever worry about it?" -Kara Lawson

When you say "I don't", it gives off a confident, firm attitude (the opposite of an "I'm not allowed to"). When you "don't" do something, it's a choice and in you're control. This language is an affirmation of willpower, which leads to more self-control & goal-driven motivation.
Do not confuse things that are hard with things that are valuable.
Many things in life are hard. Just because you are giving a great effort does not mean you are working toward a great result.
Make sure that mountain is worth climbing.
Everyone wants to take care of their body…
But no one takes care of their brain.
Most people just ignore it until something goes wrong.
So, here’s everything you need to know to heal & protect your brain:
Our brains default is comfort and safety. Therefore, distraction usually trumps improvement. You have to actively and deliberately choose to be better, do better, and create a better way.
Get clear on what you want, how that requires you to show up, and how to overcome friction.
Your brain will tell you to stop before your body ever does.
Our brains central governor will slow us down out of the need to feel safe and certain. But we can override this limiter. Lean into the discomfort. Visualize your success. Chunk the task into bite size pieces. ENDURE.
