@The_Necronaut1@adamtotscomix It also doesn't inspire me with much confidence about you having the ability to analyze your own usage of language when you can't even understand that "themselves" refers to the singular "someone" in that sentence.
@The_Necronaut1@adamtotscomix I don't have the ability to listen to recordings of you from over ten years ago but I would bet a lot of money that if I could I would find you using singular they liberally. It's really unlikely this became such a common speech pattern for you in only the course of a few years.
@The_Necronaut1@adamtotscomix You were talking about a specific image made by a specific individual.
Besides, it's even more clear you're using singular they here:

@The_Necronaut1@adamtotscomix A native Norwegian speaker once told me that Norwegian doesn't have geminated consonants. Brother, not only is it a documented aspect of your language, I hear you doing it with my own ears! But Norwegians are taught it as a vowel length distinction only, so they don't realize it.
@The_Necronaut1@adamtotscomix This is actually a pretty common thing I notice. A lot of the time native speakers don't realize they do something, and in fact might deny that they do it if you ask. But then I see them just doing it later. They're so used to it they don't even think about it.
@kupzisis@meowmonides@tragic_endings_ So when we institute a new law saying sperm banks must accept sperm from short men, is there going to be a required time period they have to keep it in the freezer for? Or can we just cut to the chase and have the guys jerk off directly into a biohazardous waste bin
@SuperHario64@WillSloanEsq You're projecting your own culture war obsession onto others. The voters are dedicated film critics and filmmakers. Please crawl back into your hole.
