THE PRINCESS OF NDI-IGBO
Episode 6
The village square remained silent.
Prince Ezeagu, the fearless warrior who had entered the forbidden forest, now lay helpless on the ground.
The royal healers rushed to him.
But no matter how many herbs they used, he refused to speak.
Only one sentence escaped his lips:
"The eyes... the eyes in the darkness..."
Fear spread through the kingdom.
Many of the suitors immediately withdrew from the competition.
"No woman is worth my life," one man declared.
Others quietly packed their belongings and left Umuabala before sunrise.
But Obinna could not stop thinking about the glowing symbol.
That night, he followed the arrow it created.
The path led him to the edge of the forbidden forest.
A cold wind blew through the trees.
Every instinct told him to turn back.
Then he heard a voice.
"Obinna."
He spun around.
No one was there.
Again the voice called.
"Obinna."
This time it came from inside the forest.
His heart pounded.
Slowly, he stepped forward.
The moment he crossed into the forest, the wooden symbol began to glow brighter than ever before.
The trees around him seemed to move.
Strange whispers filled the air.
Then, in the distance, he saw something impossible.
A small light floating between the trees.
It looked exactly like a lantern.
But no human was carrying it.
The light stopped.
As if it was waiting for him.
And beneath it stood the shadow of a woman.
A woman who looked exactly like the old beggar he had helped on the roadside.
But this time...
She was dressed like a queen.
Who was the mysterious woman really?
And why did she know Obinna's name before they had ever met?

Episode 5
The kingdom of Umuabala was restless.
Everywhere Obinna went, people talked about the king's challenge.
"The Tree of Wisdom!"
"No man has returned from that forest!"
"The king has made the challenge impossible!"
Fear spread among many of the suitors.
But not everyone was afraid.
Among the contestants was Prince Ezeagu, a wealthy prince from a neighboring kingdom.
He was handsome, powerful, and proud.
When he heard the warning, he laughed loudly.
"Stories are for children," he boasted.
"I will enter the forest tomorrow and return before sunset."
The crowd cheered.
Meanwhile, Obinna quietly prepared for his journey.
That evening, he sat outside his mother's hut, staring at the strange wooden symbol.
Suddenly, he noticed something.
Tiny markings were glowing faintly on its surface.
His eyes widened.
As darkness fell, the markings became brighter.
Then, to his shock, they formed an arrow.
The arrow pointed directly toward the forbidden forest.
Obinna jumped to his feet.
At that very moment, a loud cry echoed through the village.
People began running toward the square.
"Prince Ezeagu has returned!" someone shouted.
The villagers rushed to see him.
But when Obinna arrived, he froze.
The proud prince who had mocked the forest was lying on the ground.
His clothes were torn.
His body trembled with fear.
And all he could say was:
"Don't go there."
"The forest is alive."
Then his eyes rolled back, and he collapsed.
The entire kingdom fell silent.
What had Prince Ezeagu seen inside the forest?
And why was the mysterious symbol leading Obinna toward the very place everyone feared?

THE PRINCESS OF NDI-IGBO
Episode 3
Obinna looked at the old woman carefully.
The evening sun was fading, and the road was almost empty.
"Mother, what troubles you?" he asked.
The woman struggled to speak.
"I have not eaten for two days," she whispered. "Everyone who passed me today was too busy chasing the king's challenge."
Obinna looked at the small basket hanging from his shoulder.
Inside was the food his mother had prepared for him.
It was the only meal he had until morning.
Without hesitation, he handed it to the old woman.
"Take it," he said.
The old woman's eyes widened.
"You don't know me," she replied.
Obinna smiled.
"Hunger does not need an introduction."
The woman ate slowly while Obinna waited.
When she finished, she stood up.
Something strange happened.
The weak old woman suddenly looked stronger.
Her eyes shone with an unusual brightness.
"You have a good heart," she said.
Then she pointed toward the forbidden forest beyond the hills.
"Three days from now, the king will announce the first test."
"The answer to that test lies inside that forest."
Obinna's heart skipped a beat.
"How do you know that?" he asked.
But before he could get another word out, a strong wind swept across the road.
Obinna covered his face.
When he looked up again...
The old woman was gone.
Not walking away.
Not hiding.
Gone.
As if she had never been there.
And on the ground where she had stood was a small carved wooden symbol that Obinna had never seen before.
Who was the mysterious old woman?
And what secret was hidden inside the forbidden forest?

Years pass.
The truth is:
You don't need a perfect opportunity.
You need a decision.
What is one thing you've been postponing that you know you should start today?
THE PRINCESS OF NDI-IGBO
Episode 2
The news of the king's challenge spread beyond Umuabala.
Within days, the kingdom was filled with visitors.
Rich merchants arrived with long caravans of goods.
Famous warriors came carrying trophies from battles they had won.
Even princes from neighboring kingdoms appeared, each convinced he would be the one to marry Princess Adaora.
Every evening, groups of young men gathered in the village square, boasting about what they would offer the king.
"I own one hundred cows!" one shouted.
"I have more land than any man in this kingdom!" another replied.
Their voices echoed through the night.
But while others bragged, Obinna the palm wine tapper remained silent.
Every morning, he climbed the tallest palm trees and returned home with his calabashes of fresh wine.
The villagers laughed whenever they saw him.
"Has the poor tapper also come to marry the princess?"
"Will he pay the bride price with palm fruits?" they mocked.
Obinna never answered.
One evening, as he returned from the forest, he noticed something strange.
An old woman sat alone beside the road.
Her clothes were torn, and she looked weak with hunger.
Hundreds of wealthy men had passed her that day.
Yet none had stopped to help.
The old woman slowly raised her head and looked directly at Obinna.
"Young man," she whispered, "will you help me?"
Obinna froze.
Something about her eyes made him uneasy.
He had never seen this woman before.
And he had no idea that the decision he was about to make would change his destiny forever.
