Is the transition to renewable energy a question of simple substitution?
This exhibit from the @CREDS_UK flexibility gallery explores this through a history of supply on the Isle of Man. https://t.co/XbjmhkVwwL

@CREDS_UK @PeterJForman1 @ElizabethShove@CarolynneLord@stanleybluephd Using maps of changing energy supply, this exhibit shows that fuel switching is bound up with the evolution of energy infrastructures, and with the ongoing interaction of supply and demand.
There is more at stake than a simple substitution of one fuel for another. These conclusions are not just specific to the Isle of Man, and apply in other places too.
In this hypothetical skit, the newest exhibit from the @CREDS_UK flexibility gallery explores the question of: how much storage do we need in a fully electrified future?

Over the past few months, I've been working with some colleagues @CREDS_UK on an online portal to visualise #energydemand. Really please to announce that we're finally launching this! #energytransition#flexibility@JTorriti
