A brilliant end to last nights scout meeting. 3 of our scouts (now Explorers) being awarded their Chief Scout Gold Award which is the highest badge a Scout can earn. A huge well done to them!! @enescouts @sesscouts @ScoutsScotland

And as part of the awards it was also fantastic to have our DLV Bill Ramsay along who was presented with his Silver Acorn. Congratulations Bill! A huge thanks to Bill for all the hard work he does to support Scouting in ENE. @enescouts @sesscouts @ScoutsScotland

Our scout team had a great evening last night at the District Football Competition. Unfortunately we didn’t win but it was great to play in it. First time the competition has run since 2017. I’m sure we’ll win it next year! Thanks to @enescouts for organising! @sesscouts

Congratulations to John Kennedy on the award of an OBE. It is well deserved recognition for the significant impact he has had on the development and delivery of Scouting for the benefit of young people.

John has strong connection to ENE being DC in Leith District (2000-2005).

Well done to all who attended last night District Quiz. Huge thanks to Mike Halcrow for being an excellent quiz master. Congratulations to the 14th ENE who made it a clean sweep, winning both the Cub and Scout trophies. Who says home turf isn’t an advantage…..

We are delighted to announce that Bill Ramsay has been appointed as our new District Lead Volunteer.

Bill was previously Deputy DC.

In his new role, Bill will work with and lead the District's Leadership Team and provide strategic leadership to Scouting in the District.

After our walk the Deputy DC kindly presented badges to our young people. This included investing our newest Beavers, a Chief Scouts Bronze Award to Beaver Leo and a Chief Scouts Gold Award to now Explorer Scout Julia. Well done to all!! @enescouts @sesscouts @ScoutsScotland

It’s not just our young people that get badges, our adults get them as well! On Saturday the Deputy DC also awarded 5, 10 & 15 year service badges as well as a Cheif Scout’s Commendation for Good Service to volunteer Martin. Well done all!! @enescouts @sesscouts @ScoutsScotland

Cubs climbed Arthur's Seat this evening as a warm up for our #sponsoredwalk on Saturday - it was a little bit blowy but we made it to the top! Well done everyone 👍
