זכות גדולה לקיים את הביקור המדיני הרשמי הראשון בסומלילנד בהזמנת הנשיא אבדירחמן מוחמד עבדילאהי.
הביקור הוא גם מסר - אנו נחושים לקדם בתנופה את היחסים בין ישראל לסומלילנד. קיימנו היום דיו��ים משמעותיים עם הנשיא ובכירי ממשלו הנוגעים למכלול היחסים בינינו.
ההכרה ההדדית וכינון היחסים הדיפלומטיים בין שתי המדינות אינם נגד אף אחד. מטרתנו המשותפת היא לקדם את טובת 2 העמים והמדינות.
בהרגייסה הבהרתי: רק ישראל תקבע לעצמה במי היא מכירה ועם מי לקיים קשרים מדיניים.
נשיא סומלילנד מסר לי, כי הוא מקבל את הזמנת ראש הממשלה נתניהו ויגיע לביקור רשמי בישראל.
