You'll notice MES has now officially become Civica Engagment Solutions. For all news, updates & thoughts from the team, follow @CivicaES. I'll continue to tweet here on all things engagement in health, but this officially becomes a personal account #lettheswearingcommence
We're in Civica's Leeds office today for the latest #MESLive, bringing a flavour of recent Challenge 2020 conference. Here's our 2019 Engagement Champion Award winner @sathNHS, Kate (community engagement) telling audience about their award winning People's Academy initiative.
I've stayed quiet for a few days following the launch of our latest paper as (as I'm frequently told) it's not about me. That said, I did write the vast majority of it, edited it and managed the whole thing to fruition. I think it's pretty good. Hope you enjoy and find useful.
Some thought-provoking stuff here, and at the front our minds following discussion on health inequalities at last week's #c2020health conference: Government policy makes people ill – and the NHS pays the price https://t.co/hnbpqw82KP
What a great day we had at #c2020health. Thanks to all those who attended, thanks to our speakers and huge congrats to @sathNHS for winning our 2019 engagement champion award. I'm off for a kip. We'll see you all next year. Rob.
Ruth Evans from @PEN_NEWS telling our audience about the great event we co-hosted in Leeds in January on overcoming the challenges in PX. Was a great day, and it forms a chapter in our new white paper, 'Harnessing the Power of Patient Experience'. #c2020health
Just a reminder: in a few weeks' time, we launch our brand new white paper, 'Harnessing the Power of Patient Experience'. This has been really fulfilling to write, and we can't wait to share our efforts with you. Contact [email protected] to order your free copy #c2020health
Parting thought from @stephen_dorrell Does the NHS need to come down from the hill? The NHS can’t deliver the values we all ascribe to it, without it engaging with the community #c2020health
A late but very warm welcome to all delegates and colleagues to #c2020health. We hope you enjoy what promises to be a great day. Feel free to say hello if you spot me dashing about :) @MESsocial
We've had a great day at #MESLive Manchester discussing what FTs/ CCGs can do to help address health inequalities through their engagement work (especially with those seldom heard). Thanks to all who came (and your pos feedback). Plenty of ideas to move forward!
Tonight, I run 6th of 6 Governor Roadshows for @NWAngliaFT - Gov roadshows are a great way of engaging with those thinking of standing for election as an FT governor. Interactive, informative and enjoyable sessions = more (& more informed) candidates.
Today we're at @NHSE_DoOD 's conference at Barbican, London. Talking about how we can help engage, retain and improve experience of staff with our MES Empower service https://t.co/fwyytjZfLB
Have been in Manchester today starting our latest FT recruitment project, and passed this bit of history. Enquiries about recruitment have been coming thick and fast recently as STPs/ICSs get money to launch Citizens Panels. If you need assistance, get in touch.
Day 3 today of an epic L&D road trip. Tuesday I ran Employee Rep training in London for a major entertainment industry company, yesterday we were in Leeds for the great #pxshared event (co-hosted with friends from @PEN_NEWS), today I'm in Brum learning all about Bid writing.
On today's #kfonline webinar 'What's in store for health', biggest issue facing NHS is workforce shortages (with over 250,000 potential vacancies by 2030). The challenge is both recruitment & retention. RE the latter, we can help: https://t.co/0WmIWEsDeg
Some positive signs here that the update/replacement of FFT will address its key flaws. In particular, promotion of text comments (to find real insight for improvement) and rebalancing of 'collecting' vs 'doing something with data'. Hopefully a bold change in April.
The #NHS Friends and Family Test #FFT is currently under review to see how it can be improved as a tool for improvement. Our Director for Experience, Participation and Equalities @neilgchurchill explains our progress and what the next steps will be: https://t.co/4MeQ2v6mBf
