LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil announced Wednesday that a lead investor has signed a term sheet, approved by the league’s board, to fund the start-up tour going forward.

The news comes in the wake of the Saudi Public Investment Fund’s April decision to pull its backing of LIV Golf after four years and billions of dollars invested.

O’Neil would not reveal details about the investor or how much it has invested into the league. But when asked whether a completed deal means that LIV Golf will have a season in 2027, O’Neil responded, “and 2028, and 2029 and 2030.”
