45,689 Applicants Compete as NNPC GCEO Oversees Transparent and Inclusive Recruitment Process
As the Computer-Based Aptitude Test for NNPC Ltd.'s recruitment begins today at various centers across the country, the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), Mr. Mele Kyari, visited the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society Centenary Resource Centre in Maitama, Abuja, to ensure the process is smooth, transparent, fair, and credible.
As an equal opportunity employer, NNPC Ltd. has made special provisions to ensure that applicants with disabilities can take the test without any hindrance.
The GCEO reiterated that only the most qualified candidates among the 45,689 applicants will be selected for employment.

Kaduna State Security Council removes curfew
After an extensive review of the security situation in Kaduna and Zaria towns and their environs, the Kaduna State Security Council under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani has removed the current 6pm to 8am curfew completely.
The removal of the curfew is effective immediately, from today Tuesday, 13th August 2024.
With this development, law-abiding citizens are free to move and engage in legitimate activities in Kaduna and Zaria towns and their environs with no restriction.
The Kaduna State Security Council during the extensive assessment held last night unanimously recommended the removal of the curfew and reiterated its commitment to the security and safety of the citizenry in Kaduna State.
The Security Council also warned that processions or gatherings must be verified with the relevant agencies to avoid any breakdown of law and order, and for the overall security of the general public.
The Council further disclosed that security forces will continue to be on the lookout for threats to public peace, and will prosecute persons or groups posing such threats.
Governor Sani, presiding over the briefing, commended the leadership of the security agencies, religious and traditional leaders, and all critical stakeholders for the roles they played in containing the unfortunate events which followed the protest in Kaduna and Zaria.
The Governor assured the critical stakeholders of his inclusive and participatory stance, and that he would continue to engage them towards ensuring the peace, unity and development of Kaduna State.

Kaduna Security Council relaxes curfew
-Curfew now 6pm to 8am, while citizens can move from 8am to 6pm
The Kaduna State Security Council under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, after a thorough review of the security situation in Kaduna and Zaria towns and environs, has unanimously agreed to relax the 24-hour curfew earlier imposed on Monday 4th August 2024.
By this review, the curfew will now be in effect from 6pm to 8am daily. This implies that citizens may move freely and carry out their legitimate activities between 8am and 6pm, and will revert to the curfew from 6pm to 8am
The Kaduna State Security Council reiterates its total commitment to the peace and security of the State, and will continue to take all steps deemed necessary for their preservation.
Furthermore, the security forces will continue to vigorously enforce the curfew from 6pm to 8am, and will be decisive in confronting actions which may lead to a breakdown of law and order during periods of movement as well as restriction.
This is with effect from tomorrow, Thursday 8th August, 2024.
