🚨 The Self-Defense Lie Exposed: Karmelo Anthony Brought a Knife, Taunted, Then Stabbed an Unarmed Teen — Facts Don’t Lie

“The ‘self-defense’ narrative around Karmelo Anthony is falling apart. This wasn’t a scared kid with no choice — it was a provoked killing after he brought a weapon to a school event.
Key evidence it wasn’t self-defense:

• Karmelo brought a knife to a school track meet. Illegal on school grounds/property during a school-sponsored event. Texas law weakens or strips self-defense claims when you’re committing a crime (illegal weapon possession). You can’t bring a knife to a potential fistfight and claim “stand your ground.”

• He was in the wrong place and refused to leave. During a rain delay, Karmelo (Centennial HS) sat under the Memorial HS team tent (clearly marked for their athletes). Austin Metcalf and his brother told him to move. He refused.

• Karmelo escalated and taunted first. Witnesses say he unzipped his bag, reached in, and warned: “Touch me and see what happens” (or “Punch me and see what happens”). This was a clear provocation while preparing the weapon. Austin then pushed him to get him out of the tent.

• One push. Unarmed victim. Fatal chest stab. Austin (unarmed, no weapon) pushed him once. Karmelo pulled a black knife and stabbed him once in the chest (heart area), then ran away. Austin collapsed and died in his brother’s arms despite CPR. No evidence of a sustained beating or deadly threat from the Metcalfs.

• Karmelo admitted it on scene. He told officers: “I did it.” “I was protecting myself.” In the patrol car, he asked if Metcalf would be OK and if it counted as self-defense.

Self-defense requires no provocation by you, reasonable fear of imminent death/serious harm, and proportional force. Bringing a knife to school grounds, taunting with it ready, then using lethal force on a single push from an unarmed teen doesn’t meet Texas standards — especially at a school event.
Karmelo shouldn’t have had the weapon at a school event, period. That’s the core problem. Everything after was a choice. Justice for Austin Metcalf. Facts over narratives.

(Trial ongoing with jury seated and openings/testimony underway — pre-stab actions heavily undermine the claim per affidavits and witnesses.)
