🇰🇭🇹🇭 8 CAMBODIAN SOLDIERS KILLED AFTER CHINESE ROCKET LAUNCHER BLOWS UP IN BORDER FIGHT

A Chinese-made MLRS Type 90B exploded during a launch near the Cambodia-Thailand border, killing at least 8 Cambodian troops.

Both countries have been trading rocket and artillery fire for weeks over disputed land, after their latest ceasefire collapsed.

Dozens have been killed and more than 500,000 people have already fled the area amid nonstop shelling and cross-border strikes.

The blast happened during a live launch, and the entire truck went up in flames in front of the crew.

The fighting is becoming one of the most intense border clashes Southeast Asia has seen in years.

And now even the weapons themselves are failing.

A Cambodian BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher hit a village in Thailand’s Khok Sung District. One of the oldest, bluntest tools of modern warfare: 122mm rockets, area saturation, zero precision. Designed to erase grids, not targets.

The village wasn’t a military base. It was homes, dirt roads, livestock.

BM-21 systems are built to terrorize space. They’re inaccurate by design, meant to overwhelm with volume.

When they land in villages, civilian harm isn’t collateral - it’s predictable. This is exactly why their use near populated areas is restricted under international humanitarian law, even if nobody ever gets prosecuted for it.

Thailand and Cambodia are already trading accusations over ceasefire violations.

Talks are happening. Rockets are still flying. That gap between diplomacy and reality is where civilians get crushed - or, rarely, survive by accident.
