1⃣1⃣ England 3-0 Senegal, 4 December 2022, Al Bayt Stadium
England’s round‑of‑16 win over Senegal started shakily, with the African champions pressing aggressively and carving out the better early chances before England grew into the game. Just before half-time, a sweeping move led by Jude Bellingham ended with Jordan Henderson finishing low from inside the box, and then Harry Kane smashed in a second on the break with virtually the last kick of the half.
After the interval, England took full control, and the third goal came when Phil Foden’s low cross was delicately lifted over Edouard Mendy by Bukayo Saka to make it 3-0 and kill the tie. The result sent England into a quarter-final against France and took their goal tally in Qatar to 12, equalling their record from the 2018 World Cup.

All over at the Raymond James Pirate Ship stadium. England won 1-0 and fielded two teams, the likes we have not seen since the Sven days. Very hot. Everyone got a game. No need to peek early. On to Costa Rica.

@squadnos Danny Welbeck and Emile Heskey have also worn 28 for @England, and Joe Hart once played in a 29 shirt against Japan (see link), but Ngumoha is the highest now.
