Former member of the House of Representatives from Niger State, Hon. Abubakar Chika Adamu, said he regrets serving as a lawmaker because of the injustice and corrupt practices that took place.

He said he has returned to active politics so that they can join hands with the people to identify a better candidate than President Tinubu and support that person in the election.

He added that if Nigerians do not remain steadfast in prayer and action, and if Tinubu is allowed to continue, Nigerians will be in for more hardship and uncertainty.

After Nasir El-Rufai became involved in a case with the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission(ICPC), his lawyers applied for bail, which was granted at the sum of one hundred million naira(100M). However, the Department of State Services (DSS) later detained him over allegations concerning Phone-Tapping he allegedly made to the National Security Adviser, an issue he personally spoke about on national television a few days ago.

Taiwo Oyedele Presides Over FAAC, Shares Record ₦2.036 Trillion for March 2026 Second Time in 2026 Disbursements Top ₦2 Trillion Mark.

Incoming Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, chaired his first FAAC meeting in his new ministerial role, overseeing the allocation of ₦2.036 trillion in Federation Account revenue for March 2026.

This marks the second time this year that FAAC disbursements to the federal, state, and local governments have exceeded the ₦2 trillion threshold.

Key Figures from the Meeting:

Total distributable revenue: ₦2.036 trillion

Distributable statutory revenue: ₦1.320 trillion

Distributable VAT revenue: ₦515.391 billion

Augmentation: ₦200 billion

Gross revenue inflow for March: ₦2.364 trillion

Cost of collection: ₦81.084 billion

Transfers, refunds, and savings: ₦246.872 billion

Breakdown of the ₦2.036 Trillion Allocation:
Federal Government: ₦789.159 billion
State governments: ��657.596 billion
Local government councils: ₦468.826 billion
Derivation (13% to oil-producing states): ₦120.759 billion

The Dangote Refinery has lowered its gantry fuel price by N75, bringing it down to N1,200 per liter.

Dangote Group, Anthony Chiejina, said,“Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has reduced its gantry price for petrol to N1,200 per litre and its coastal price to N1,153 per litre, a move that comes amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East that continue to influence global oil markets.

“The adjustment marks a downward review in the refinery’s pricing structure and is expected to influence fuel supply costs across distribution channels, including depots and retail outlets.”
