A man in bdsm in public near children is an example of a sexual performance, which is wrong when children are near or unconsenting participants are near. Gay people should be allowed to express that they are gay publically, however when displays of sex rather than pride of sexuality are performed that is a problem.

What you see on twitter is not representative of the majority of pride parades/festivals and there are usually rules regarding decency and decorum.

I think until you’ve been to a pride parade or have actual first hand accounts besides twitter, you can’t make broad generalizations about pride parades.
