This milestone marks a significant step in strengthening law enforcement, improving service delivery, and enhancing public safety for the residents of Edleen and surrounding communities.

This morning, we chaired a service delivery meeting with ward councillors, various departments, and the Customer Relations Manager of Katlehong CCC2.

The meeting thoroughly assessed our service delivery programmes, addressed existing challenges, and identified practical strategies to improve service delivery across Katlehong.

Our commitment to enhancing service quality and strengthening accountability remains steadfast. I urge communities to promptly report any service delivery issues to their respective ward councillors so that they can be resolved swiftly.

Today, we engaged with the Katlehong community and other stakeholders to address the recent criminal activities and attempts by some individuals to fuel tribal tensions and create division between hostel and township communities.

The engagement served as an educational platform to inform the community about the government's efforts to address the challenges associated with illegal immigration. It also highlighted the role of private security companies, the participation of various stakeholders and organisations, and their respective responsibilities in responding to issues related to illegal immigration.

The session encouraged collaboration, community awareness, and a united approach to promoting safety and social cohesion.

Today, we convened a Service Delivery meeting at the Katlehong 2 Customer Care Centre, bringing together Ward Councillors, City Departments and Eskom to address key service delivery challenges in Katlehong.

Communities are encouraged to continue reporting service delivery issues to their ward councillors so they can be resolved.
