@OnyinyechiUhuo Oh ...
I'm not trying to defend the government here.
Minimum wage is very low here, especially compared to the recent hike in everything.
But would you have preferred the govt takes it's hand off university funding completely and let them just fend for themselves?
@OnyinyechiUhuo 27k what year?
The govt wasn't paying subsidy at all, we won't even be talking about 250k...
Education is relatively cheap in Nigeria.
During the subsidy era, was FX and pms not increasing?
Figures are bound to increase as global purchasing power decreases, even with subsidy.
@OnyinyechiUhuo "has the power to make things cheaper..."
"....increased the cost"
It's understandable not to like the govt and fight so hard to not applaud any policy no matter how good it is...
But come on,
This statements are vague na.
FG just woke up decide to increase costs, right? Lol
@RealAdeshina They don't know what Yoruba calls Madarikan.
You think someone would attain such levels without proper fortification and backing?
They think is by online agidi.
Small pikin dey do dem
Poignant. A lot of people who are in influential positions secretly struggle with this.
Truth is, it's not easy even when you're the one chasing them.
Now imagine if you're the one being chased.
Christians, please pray for your Pastors regularly.
If you really love them.
If you’re a speaker, pastor, imam, politician, movie star, successful footballer, comedian or any kind of influential public figure, your chances of facing and falling into serious sexual temptation are probably 99.9999999999%.
Yes, I said it.
You can preach discipline from morning till night. You can condemn people who fall. You can swear that “it can never be me.”
But wait until you taste a little fame.
Wait until you have money.
Wait until you enter a room and people stand up because YOU walked in.
Wait until women who ordinarily wouldn’t reply your DM are the ones looking for ways to get your attention.
That kind of power can mess with a man’s head.
Do you realise how many women can disobey their parents, ignore their spouses, abandon common sense and cross boundaries just because they desperately want access to a man they admire?
Bro, that shit is mind-blowing.
Imagine knowing that with one phone call, one invitation, one “come and see me privately,” you can have access to people who would normally be completely inaccessible to you.
That is POWER.
If, for example, Imam offa asks some people’s mothers, sisters or wives to come tomorrow for a special prayer, many men who would struggle to convince them not to go.
Same thing with pastor Adeboye.
Same thing with Davido, Ronaldo or even Tinubu.
There was even a time Pastor Iren had to tell women not to use his picture as their wallpaper.
Now think about that level of admiration for a second.
When thousands of people admire you, trust you, defend you and sometimes place you on a pedestal, temptation stops looking like what the average man experiences.
It starts coming directly to your doorstep.
And before anybody misunderstands me, I am NOT justifying infidelity.
Wrong is wrong.
A married man still owes his wife fidelity. A religious leader has an even greater responsibility not to abuse the trust and access that comes with his position.
But I’m also saying: be careful how confidently you declare what you could NEVER do when you have never been tested with that level of access.
You are judging another man’s discipline with temptations you have never experienced.
As a man with fame, money and access to people’s private lives, sometimes you are one sob story away.
One perfume scent.
One beautiful woman who respects you a little too much.
One wealthy admirer.
One international trip away from home.
One private counselling session.
One moment of emotional weakness.
One stupid decision.
That is all it takes to destroy something you spent 20 years building.
So yes, hold people accountable.
But maybe hold the stones a little less confidently.
Because some of the loudest people saying, “I can NEVER do that” simply haven’t had the opportunity to discover what they are capable of yet.
I pray God forgives him and helps him become strong again.
Not just strong in faith.
Strong in character.
Strong in confidence.
Strong in boundaries.
And most importantly, strong in self-discipline.
Because sometimes the greatest test of a man is not poverty.
It is finally having the money, power, access and attention he once prayed for and still having enough discipline to remain the same man.
Ko easy… aje!

@jaynefrancces@eric_gugua Lol. Did you make your own research?
Or you just believe it because Eric said it?
Where's the research?
Or you don't want to mention because we don't do that here?😊
@AyoOyalowo@napoleon2002@jeffphilips1 Or can you point to any proper explanation any of the media or NOA guys have done on this matter?
Every citizen is not an intellectual or academic guru.
Come down to their level and explain.
Push it around the social media and media houses.
Is that too hard to ask?
