Sliding sashes being restricted to moving up & down along their own rails can be a huge thermal compromise. How is it possible for it to be airtight when the sides can't be compressed into a seal? Is there a solution?

A different approach is needed when providing new windows for stone mullion homes. To achieve a similar frame thickness to an old steel unit, a thermally-broken aluminium frame is often the best option

Danish panel doors have a huge amount of choice and style, without compromising on performance. These PUR-insulated oak doors achieve a 0.95 overall U-value, and the automatic lock means the kids don't need to remember to lock the door behind them

A recent Warwickshire install contains minimalist design language, with the slight twist of Olive Green within the white render. The extended gable roofline and (obviously) the Danish windows makes this home look like it’s been lifted out of Scandinavia
