Before I had my baby, or even before I started thinking about motherhood, I used to silently judge mums a little. Anytime I visited friends with kids and saw toys everywhere, unfolded clothes on the chair, or random baby things scattered around the house, I’d wonder to myself, how do they just leave everywhere like this without arranging it? Even on TikTok, I’d watch some mums record videos with messy backgrounds and lowkey think, her space should have tidied up a bit before filming.

Now that I have a crawling baby who wants to touch everything, carry everything, scatter everything, and somehow appear in every corner of the house at the exact same time, I finally understand. You can literally tidy up a place completely, turn around for two minutes, and wipes emptied out, toys everywhere.

I’m actually a very neat person. I genuinely love clean and organized spaces. But motherhood has taught me that sometimes rest is more important than trying to maintain perfection every second of the day. There are days I look around and just leave the mess because I know the moment I start arranging one side, my baby is already busy destroying another side.

Honestly, becoming a mum has made me softer and more understanding especially towards mothers. A lot of things look easy from the outside until life puts you in that exact position. It’s so easy to have opinions about people’s situations when you’ve never experienced them yourself.
Sometimes, you truly cannot judge or fully understand someone’s situation until life allows you walk through it yourself.

I watched a man cry out in pain, helpless, beaten, and treated as though his life meant nothing and it broke something deep within me. Lord, how did we get here? How did we become a people who watch suffering and feel so powerless?

In his cries, I heard the echo of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who in His agony still looked up to You and said, “Father…”because even in pain, He knew You were there. So today, with tears in my eyes and fear in my heart, I call on You the same way… Father, please do not forsake us.

This land is hurting. The fear is real. The silence is loud. And for those of us who have nothing, no protection, no voice… it feels like we are left at the mercy of darkness. Lord, please arise. Let Your justice speak. Let Your mercy move. Let Your presence be felt again in this nation.

Please save that man, John… wherever he is right now, step into his pain. Hold him in ways no human can. Send help he cannot see. Fight for him when he is too weak to fight for himself. Remind him that he is not alone, even in that moment of terror.

Lord, I have no money, no influence, nothing physical to offer… but I refuse to be silent. So I give You this cry, this pain, this prayer. Please turn our tears into testimony. Turn this darkness into light. And remind us that You are still God, even here… even now.
