Mine would be to put yourself out there.
Social media does a lot more for your career than people think. Maximize it.
I’ve been poached for roles I wouldn’t even have considered myself qualified for. Sometime last year, I got approached for a Head of Legal role at a popular fintech. 😂
It was funny because… how??
HR said my combination of law and finance background made me a strong fit for the role. Of course, I didn’t take it. Imposter syndrome wouldn’t even let me.🥲 At barely 4 years post-call, I felt I still needed to deepen my expertise before occupying a role like that. I wouldn’t want to take it and fail in it.
Crazy pay, though. But in my heart, I just wasn’t convinced yet.
The point is they most likely found me because I consistently posted about my journey (something I don’t even do as much anymore). If I had been the right fit at the time, that could easily have been a 150% pay increase. Lol.
So yeah, putting yourself out there really works. Just keep showing up. You genuinely never know who’s watching.
I'm reading that 45 kids have been kidnapped by terrorists 2 days ago in Oyo state, they had enough time to raid 3 schools !
And the media is this quiet?? I'm speechless!
Working corporate made me appreciate Thursday’s more. Unofficial end of the working week, streets filled with people after 5, vibes are good life is great
