Got intrigued on the post - thanks Todd! How can you really value human contribution, so created open sourced command you can run against your own projects. Testing it myself, shocking but hard to argue against it too. Also, shoutout COCOMO for contributing/research, but it's not only angle what it does

Fun command built in Claude Code: /cost-estimate
It scans your codebase and cross-references current market rates to calculate what your project would've cost a real team to build.
It looks at all the APIs, integrations, everything.
Without AI: ~2.8 years. ~$650k.
With AI: 30 hours.
It's absurd when you start to think about it like this.
@toddsaunders Open sourced it - https://t.co/lEr6vRHiOZ
Example of the same project code: https://t.co/dqAP5MsL2f
Thanks COCOMO creators, but also feeding in other angles

Full response from code / tweet:
Your instinct is right. This is bait. Here's the breakdown:
The tweet claim: "A Claude bot just printed +$79,469 in 24h on Polymarket" with a link to a Polymarket profile showing wins, and pointing to this GitHub repo as the "free guide."
What the code actually is: A read-only console dashboard. It does NOT trade. It:
โข Fetches Binance candles + Chainlink oracle prices
โข Runs basic TA (RSI, MACD, VWAP, Heiken Ashi) on 1m candles
โข Computes a naive LONG/SHORT probability
โข Compares that against Polymarket UP/DOWN token prices
โข Displays a fancy terminal screen with a "Predict" line and "BUY UP / BUY DOWN / NO TRADE" recommendation
Why it's a trap:
1. No execution capability whatsoever. Zero Polymarket API integration for placing trades. No wallet, no signing, no CLOB interaction. It's literally a pretty console.log().
2. The "model" is hilariously primitive. The probability engine is just adding integer scores (1-3 points each for VWAP position, MACD histogram, RSI, Heiken Ashi candle color) and dividing by total. This is not a winning edge โ it's a coin flip dressed up with TA jargon.
3. Time decay makes it worse. The applyTimeAwareness function decays all signals toward 50/50 as the 15-minute window progresses, so the closer to settlement (when you'd actually want strong signals), the weaker they get.
4. The edge thresholds are nonsense. Early: 5% edge needed. Late: 20%. But the "model" generating those edges is garbage to begin with, so the thresholds are theater.
5. Repo is 1 day old (created Jan 29, 2026). The Twitter account @PolymarketStory is likely a shill account. The Polymarket profile they link (@LDSIADAS) could easily be faked/cherry-picked.
6. The real play: Get naive followers to manually trade Polymarket's 15-minute BTC markets based on this dashboard's signals. They lose money on bad signals + spread + fees. Meanwhile the tweet author may be taking the other side of those trades, or simply farming engagement/followers.
TL;DR: Dashboard that looks impressive but has zero alpha. The $79K profit screenshot is unrelated to this code. Classic crypto influencer bait โ show fake PnL, point to "open source tool," let retail get wrecked.
I've let "Claude bot" analyse the code, it's stupid/fake and just:

@Asmongold , unfortunate to see your MAGA hat have taken over your mental capacity, just blindly following.
Why not to report TACO incident related Greenland and he with administration not following the law you've always put first - you know the "Epstein Files Transparency Act"?
Btw, not russia or china have ever considering capturing Greenland and even if they would, NATO would be 100% on top of it. Weak argument to say "I can take some land because I'm stronger", stupid 6th grader logic
