@Ecaspu Quite interesting is the part where NCAA has directed the airline to send "compensation" details tonight.
Without attempting to derail from the lesson in this post, what's the typical compensation for cases like this?...i for like know..😁
Most people watched the viral video of United Flight 328 over Denver and saw a terrifying engine fire.
I'm writing about how one failed part caused a chain reaction, and why aircraft inspection schedules exist for a reason.
Guys, observe the footwork...
Have you ever wondered how pilots stay perfectly aligned with a runway during a fierce crosswind, or how an aircraft maneuvers seamlessly on a narrow taxiway?
Rudder pedals. Most passengers never notice them, but pilots use them all the time.
They don't turn the airplane. The ailerons do that. The rudder controls yaw and keeps the nose pointing in the right direction.
In the air, the rudder keeps turns smooth by stopping adverse yaw. It helps line the airplane up with the runway during a crosswind landing. If one engine fails on a twin-engine aircraft, the rudder keeps the airplane flying straight.
On the ground, those same pedals steer the nose wheel while taxiing. As the airplane speeds up, the airflow over the rudder becomes powerful enough to help keep it on track.
Same two pedals. Different job, depending on the speed.
Pedal to cable. Cable to pulleys and bell cranks. Pushrods to the rudder horn. Leg power turned into aerodynamic control.
Most times you see pilots in action, you notice their hands at the controls. Their feet are at work too.
Some of the most important flying happens down there.
Now you know.
@Ecaspu 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Appreciation of knowledge is in the realisation of it.
In this case,it's in the telling that i have now realized. Keep telling us OG, we appreciate it.😁
