An ad hoc residents group near Enright Parklet in East Liberty, fighting for equity and inclusion in the midst of displacement and radical transformation.
Can you help us meet our grassroots fundraising goals today? We are just $1,604 shy of our $5,000 goal to UNLOCK another $5,000 in matching funds to ensure that Enright Park is rebuilt! #eastliberty https://t.co/9ArIuSxSea
Going into the new year with new wind at our backs! This is exciting news for our council district, which hasn’t had a competitive race in years. You can learn more about Mr. Mosley at his kickoff event on Jan 5 at Blue Sky in East Liberty!!!
I am running to restore faith in the idea that government can get the people’s business done, improve the quality of life in every neighborhood and inspire our citizens to believe that Pittsburgh’s best days are yet to come. #BeBold#ThinkBig#RiseUp
It's been a while since we posted on the community blog (blame the pandemic), but we wanted to make sure to keep folks posted abt the important upcoming meetings for projects in #EastLiberty. Read more here: https://t.co/yRtAhGW64O
…Again, it’s critical that the Registered Community Organization for East Liberty hear from community members impacted by these projects. Please attend both meetings and learn abt development in our community! More info on the ELDI website: https://t.co/0flxTU9q8Y 5/5

It was amazing to listen to all the community members standing with @KSTheater to support them & a truly inclusive vision of #EastLiberty at Planning Commission. We’ve all got a lot more work to do, but the love is real. Thank you @FromINEZwLove@zamiqueen@PGHArtsCouncil !
Stories like this are all too familiar in our cities and towns. Please add your voice to help residents in Cambridge, MA save a treasured community resource! @PPS_Placemaking do you have any suggestions to help??? #ThisPlaceMatters
My hometown was supposed to be the American dream.
Our labor made the steel that built America but when the mills left, we paid the price.
Now I’m bringing the fight I’ve been in my whole life to Washington - to win a Green New Deal, Medicare For All, and racial justice. #PA18
@J_M_Roth I believe in fact that the language used in the proposal to eliminate courts was the the developers “weren’t sure basketball was an appropriate use” for the park. Hmmmmm...
Now that the steel is starting to go up, it’s only going to be a matter of weeks before we see the full scale of what is replacing #PennPlaza and looming over the neighborhood.
These are things that can’t be replaced when development and ‘reconfiguration’ of the Park. The squirrels and East End crows may return in a few years, but it is unlikely that the environment of the park will support these multi-layered ecosystems for many years to come...
One of the most magical moments in the park has always been the evenings in June and July when the fireflies are active. Lost in the debate of ‘property rights’ and ‘zoning regulations’ is the discussion of loss of urban habitat for native species... https://t.co/vkJIxrpp1r
