In an effort to divide us, Black folks are told our politics aren't rooted in liberatory movements and that historically we haven't been connected to socialism or progressivism.

They’re wrong.

Yesterday at @cbcfinc, I hosted a panel on the Black radical tradition to recenter the fact that so many movements thoughout history have been to the left of the establishment. The coordinated attacks we’re seeing on our democracy, on Black politics, on economic justice are a reminder that the pathway forward is written in our past.
