i used to see beauty as a frivolous sin, something unimportant and distracting from life's real meanings. i now realize that was a grave mistake and that beauty isn’t frivolous but direly necessary, spiritual and healing!
alright so all these comments saying her new album is a banger or easy to listen to are TOTALLY CORRECT! i don't typically listen to pop but i would keep that playing
getting really sick of the comedy section of these awards shows being bulldozed by dramas..i liked obsession a lot but the idea of it winning in a comedy category is fkn ridiculous
*+i don't rly think ppl like me are meant to live past a certain age. deep unrest of the soul is something that becomes youth but the unrest starts to metastasize in older age as the body breaks down and seeks comfort
i don’t like aging, not bc of the vanity or health aspects but bc you’re solidifying your own life story. There’s less hope, bc hope relies on an uncertain future. as you age, your story is written and the window of uncertainty shrinks

i used it a lot as a kid, it was the only drug available to me at the time. my mom used it to soothe herself& encouraged me to as well. been a journey to figure out my relationship to it an as adult. what i do realize is when im happy and connected, i don't want it at all
once i learned about the cortisol, loneliness, sugar connection, all my sugar cravings made sense. there’s such a sad connotation with processed sugar. its the most simple, childlike thing to use to try and get a feeling of security and safety and connection
Nasrallah: "We Shias will not abandon Palestine, nor the people of Palestine. Call us terrorists, call us criminals, call us whatever you want. And kill us on every corner, on every battlefield. We will not abandon Palestine."
And they didn't. They gave their life for Palestine.
and that physical reality gives us spiritual gifts. this is something men seek but do not get organically, the humbling of the physical world and the reality of the body. they must build in those exercises and many never do!
im convinced a large part of what endows women spiritual gifts, humility & compassion is the inevitable bleeding they go through every month. we’re humbled by our bodies, we lose part of our internal organs, we’re subject to something we cannot control. we’re forced into reality
the way im designed, i have to prioritize clarity and health or else i end up sick very quickly. i used to resent this and wish i could live in denial or dysfunction longer like many! but now i see it as a blessing
dysfunction manifests in my body very quickly. if im abusing myself, i get health repercussions quickly. if im ignoring a pertinent truth, my emotions build up and give way
