Late last night, I received approval from the @parliament_gh to be sworn in by H.E. @JDMahama as the next Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations of the Republic of Ghana.

My deepest gratitude goes to my Colleague MPs who stayed late and worked hard to approve my nomination. I am indebted to the many Ghanaians who followed proceedings actively and lent their support through various fora.

John Mahama is considered one of the most influential politicians in Africa. He is known for his strategic and calm political style and is hailed as a progressive leader.

In 2020, he made a bold decision by choosing a female Running Mate, which was surprising for many. However, this decision was widely respected and accepted. Mahama chose a female Running Mate based on research and rigorous analysis of Ghana's current political environment.

His choice was made easier because his chosen nominee herself has an accomplished academic background, bringing a strong sense of confidence and experience to the table. It is also a testament to her lifelong struggle and triumph of the struggle.

While the decision was derided by some political opponents and even by some female leaders, Mahama's opponents are now scrambling to nominate a female Running Mate after realising the importance of his decision.
They did their utmost to downplay the nomination and are now trying to replicate it.

Mahama has yet to receive commendation for making a bold statement and giving Ghana the strongest indication that a female can become a Running Mate and Vice President.

John Mahama was born on the cusp of Ghana's Independence and is considered one of Africa's emerging leaders. His deep thinking and passion for progressive leadership and democracy have been recognised worldwide. He is a shining example of outstanding leadership in the bold choices that he continues to make.

Mahama’s legacy will continue to inspire hope in Africa!
He made an excellent choice for Ghana’s future!
He ought to be celebrated!
