Painful to see the apathy of Forest Dept & @tweetndmc to be hacking Trees in the name of pruning, the only natural saviour for us citizens in this choking city.

Has the media been loud enough to make India feel the sting of the air quality crisis?

The #AQIforJanhit initiative, led by the Dr. Manmohan Singh Fellowship and anchored by the AIPC, is uniting journalists and environmentalists to understand the media's take on the crisis.

Interim tactics are not enough; Indian cities need bold, systemic solutions. This is a collective fight to turn the air quality conversation into a national mandate.

The Dr. Manmohan Singh Fellowship is launching an *Air Quality Initiative* (#aqiforjanhit) and the programme will be anchored in AIPC.

The Initiative is commencing with a series of webinars to include discussions with youth, professionals, and experts who have been on the ground, studying the crisis relentlessly, and voicing our collective right to breathe.

*What is the significance of the Air Quality Initiative*? Indian cities are engulfing in poor quality air, sometimes highly toxic, making every breath a health risk. This crisis we experience now is not new to us, especially for the National Capital Region. We have been through it a several times. What are we learning from it? What do we need to do? How can we garner greater support for this cause?

Let’s explore. Let’s hear experiences.
