@JayinKyiv Russia has always had the highest homicide rate in Europe, it is way higher (around 7 per 100k) than anywhere in Europe. For example, for the UK it is around 1.
@GustavSterbrant @MichaelAArouet 15% was introduced before the war, in 2021. Starting this year it goes up to 22%. Of course none of those fund contributions are on top.
The corporate tax in the UK does not apply per employee while Russian fund contributions do and that's a huge chunk.
@MichaelAArouet The diagram is misleading. Many of the countries shown have a progressive scale, meaning how much people pay depends on the income (e.g. UK), while some others have other mandatory payments up to 35% that are not included in the "income tax" (Russia, Belarus).
@CanadianKobzar It has been like this since Musk bought it. Don't engage with russian propaganda posts and mute them, it should correct the recommendation algorithm.
@rinalu_ Russia is not only full of soviet style faceless buildings but also tends to build new ones that don't look better. They mostly prioritise dull looking high rises due to high return and forget to build the infrastructure around them.
@DALAX@astraiaintel Territory value could be resources (people or natural resources), strategic position (sea access) or existing infrastructure. Wiping out eastern Ukraine and the people there and getting a few old coal mines and another plain doesn't sound like a strategy.
@astraiaintel And surprisingly russian enemies are not the ones they are fighting with right now. NATO countries have no interest in acquiring this territory most of which is wilderness.
