"That's normal, this one was so concentrated that it was good for one shampoo a month, another shampoo on the other days. You finished it in a week, you little thief."
"You know, he's sometimes in a bad mood. I like to think it just wasn't his day."
She smiled at her own actions. She smoothed a strand of Envy's hair, looking at it intently.
"My shampoo is working wonders, I see."
" ...
He should let go of those human attachments, then. Especially since he thinks he's so much better than us."
He looks over to Lust and gives her a pat and quick rub on the shoulder. His way of saying that he's glad to see her too.
"She was an old lady. I don't want to speak for him or assume anything, but maybe she reminded him of Mrs. Bradley. I don't know. I missed you, brother. I'm glad to see you're doing well."
She sighed dramatically, holding him close and stroking his long hair.
" All this because he didn't know what to say when an old Jehovah's Witness woman handed him a flyer. Funny, isn't it? What a killjoy ! Where's the fun in all the daily teasing ? "
He gives her a pat on the back with one of his hands.
"Don't tell me you were expecting a compliment out of Pride. Who do you think you're kidding?
But it is funny that you've been getting on his nerves THAT much, don't you think?"
"I would very much assume that the last thing you would want to hear come out of my mouth would be anything remotely close to agreement in how 'attractive' you are."
