Today I attended my last university committee as VPW&C, the Environment & Sustainability Committee 💚
It was very exciting to see how the SU & uni's recent #ClimateEmergency declarations are starting to shape positive change at @unilincoln 🌍
I hope this is just the beginning 💪
@watson_505@lincolnSU Thank you so much @watson_505! This is such an easy way to get rid of food items you don't want to struggle with moving back home, whilst also helping students in crisis 💛 @lincolnSU
Thank you to everyone who came and took part in our Time to Act: Shape the New Environment Act panel event last week! 🌍

As it comes to the end of the academic year for most students, we are hosting a second-hand sale (think of it as a glorified car boot sale except there are no cars) on May 25th. Tables: £2 each with money going to RAG. Students are encouraged to come!
PANEL SPEAKERS ANNOUNCEMENT 📢
Lucinda Preston- Councillor @lincolncouncil
Prof Libby John- Pro Vice Chancellor & Head of @UoLScience
Tammy Smalley- Head of Conservation @LincsWildlife
Nick Blyth- Policy & Engagement Lead @iemanet

@community_ulsu @ulsu_welfare @lincolnSU @ULSU_Pres @UoLAccomm@ULSU_RAG@enviro_ulsu Takeaway cups from @FoodLinc can be recycled as long as they are empty and the lids are popped into general waste. The majority of takeaway cups are not recyclable though so we would still recommend reusables over disposables ♻️
We are aware of your Westminster commitments, hence we proposed multiple dates on Thursday and Friday evenings. Climate change & biodiversity loss is an issue which massively affects your constituency, & is something which 80% of students are worried about (@nus_sustainability).
