In Victoria 2024 has been a remarkable year, filled with powerful moments.

Through Yoorrook Justice Commission, in submissions and at hearings, people have shared truths that expose the devastating impacts of colonisation to First Peoples, from land dispossession to Stolen Generations, to systemic racism in education, health and child protection.

Non-First Nations witnesses have acknowledged historical wrongs and Yoorrook has documented the impact of intergenerational trauma, highlighting how policies continue to shape present realities.

In 2025, Yoorrook will continue to share the truths gathered over the past three years and make recommendations to reform the systems which continue to cause harm and injustice to First Peoples.
