Bernays was born on 1891, in Vienna, Austria-Hungary was the nephew of Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis.
Bernays is best known for his work in the field of public relations and propaganda, where he used his theories to bring about several progressive changes in American society.
He worked for many major American corporations, including Procter & Gamble and General Electric, and for government agencies, politicians, and non-profit organizations.
He is responsible for getting women to smoke and enter the workplace making them a taxpayer, introduced fundamental ideas behind consumer capitalism, so that the public would buy things they did not need, and getting acceptance for the fluoridation of our water supply.
