@DublinTaxiDave @TheLiberal_ie We are the government. Ireland is a representative democracy. The government isn’t imposed on you. It’s elected freely and fairly to speak and act on your behalf and every 4-5 years you have an option to entirely remove them if you don’t like the outcomes.

@MaileOnX Correct voter ID requirements are about depressing the vote. You already have to prove who you are to register to vote. And it’s illegal to vote if not a citizen of the US.

@NoelMcuk AFAIK, these aren’t redundancies, or firings for cause, these are exit packages, ie they are being let go because Kevin wants them to leave. In those cases, it’s generally a sizable payout to go away.
