I am an American who lives in Canada.
Canadian politics focus on the US because a supposed ally started an unprovoked trade war & threatened to invade Canada. Cost of living is increasing in both because of Trump’s tariffs, incompetence, & your destruction of our democracy.
Grieving the loss of one of my best friends, Jim Lovell. His extraordinary legacy is cemented by many space missions: Gemini VII, Gemini XII, Apollo 8 and Apollo 13.
Our mutual respect had no limits. The Gemini XII mission we flew together paved the way for the Apollo missions.
Heartfelt condolences to Jim’s family.
Farewell Jim. You will be missed, my friend. Godspeed!
I agree with David Brooks 💯%: “At least semi-responsible for the deaths of probably by the end of this, hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people. That's Elon Musk’s legacy. The people who work at Tesla and SpaceX might want to think about that."
In a civilized society, we have obligations to each other, including protecting the frail. An unvaccinated child puts other children unnecessarily at risk, especially in a communal setting like a school. By @picardonhealth@globeandmail#vaccination https://t.co/9wJfttMATp
Mr. Poilievre isn't allowing reporters to travel with him, not allowing questions, trying to obtain questions beforehand and pushing away reporters. Why is he different than prior Conservative leaders and other party leaders. Evan Dyer is a respected journalist. @EvanDyerCBC
I drew this last November 26th knowing full well no self-respecting family newspaper in the country would be likely to print it. I was right. But given the events of this weekend, I’m gonna to let ‘er rip anyway.

iCYMI — Beyond #BMI: A new, nuanced way of measuring #obesity could help focus attention on the breadth and depth of the challenge. That’s welcome news, because the cost of inaction is staggering. By @picardonhealth via @globeandmail#health https://t.co/rcwEA3LVuO

I'm sure all the trolls who feel academics receiving peer-reviewed grants (that don't pay them a dine) is an unforgivable COI will be absolutely horrified by this realization!
Are we sleepwalking toward another pandemic? The bad news about bird flu keeps trickling out gradually while we continue to shrug off the accumulating risks. By @picardonhealth via @globeandmail #birdflu#pandemic https://t.co/nl70XQl2ew
