@UruguayanHeroes Uruguay doesn't play for possession, I don't know why people think that. Uruguay tries to steal the ball quickly and score. That's it. If we had more possession this world cup, it's because we played Cabo Verde and Saudi Arabia. We're we supposed to sit and defend against them?
@Molson_Hart I hate this type of thing as well. Just another way to subvert western culture and values. This kind of insidious rotting is only ok to do to Christianity for some reason.
@UndoTown @UruguayanHeroes Definitely. I feel let down. Colombia wasn't that tough, particularly when Bentancur was srill on. I can't really fault team selection or tactics too much. It's down to the players. Maybe we overrate our players a little bit and expect more out of them. Who knows.
@Diegowan76@UruguayanHeroes I agree to an extent. Araujo and Pellistri were just so imprecise in the final third frim the elimination rounds onwards. They tried but nothing was coming offb for them, plus there was lots of bad decision making. I can't fault the hustle of most of out players though.
@UruguayanHeroes Also, I wish Araujo didn't get injured as much. And that De La Cruz wasn't so lightweight. I wish Josema still had his legs.
Having said that, the 3rd place is an improvement over previous tournaments, so progress is process, I guess.
@UruguayanHeroes I think we learned a lot. Rochet is not good enough for one. Valverde disappears sometimes. Darwin misses too much. Vina is not reliable. Our wide forwards are not quite up to par.
@UruguayanHeroes It honestly falls on the players. Bielsa mostly picked the best guys each game. Lots of players went absent. When we needed them. Not enough personality.
