my timeline is...
i am not in a good place mentally right now due to stuff that just refuses to leave my timeline.
i shall not elaborate on why.
if you can reach me not on here, feel free to do so if desired.
i'll catch you at GA.
God's peace be with you.
@cbradedwards@linzwilliams great point about the building rich/people poor mainline (also in NC) i pass by 3 mainline churches that are now empty (or now a bank or something else)...to get to my nearest PCA church
what in the world, Lord have mercy
update: first stretch of driving and a fill-up
previous work vehicle got around 22mpg
this gets a little over 28mpg
might possibly be even better once i change the plugs and packs that don't look to have been changed in over 160k ๐
got to work late today after getting 2 new tires (college girl had the car before me and didn't realize tires needed air so had been driving them while pretty low for a while before i got it) and the car aligned
it...works.
is it perfect/am i done? no...but wow ๐ฅด๐
i haven't finished going through the proposed DFW yet but if awnlyne is any indication that no "side" is seemingly completely happy...
it gets my vote ๐๐
@theemmacasey@cybelethebest that might've been the most frustrating thread i've read on here in a while
...and i see the racist stuff on the regular ๐คฆ๐พโโ๏ธ
that troll doesn't seem to realize one's relationship with their spouse is not the same as one "with the bros"
are we really cooked? ๐ฅด
@brothernelson Closely related to this is internal conflict that can arise between congregants and Session regarding including/excluding elements in worship. A binding DOW wouldnโt leave the Session to fight a battle on its own.
@EdwardCoplin6@johnandrewwords@PCAByFaith this might be a wild take from me, but i personally don't think Christian Nationalism is *inherently* tied to racism...yet, from a number in that camp those two ideals walk together
the issue...the thing that makes stuff like this so bad to me isn't CN: it's the racism.
@EdwardCoplin6@johnandrewwords@PCAByFaith it just so happens that many (at least online) are both CN and (at minimum) flirt w/ racists and/or post/RT racist rhetoric
so then to call *that* out makes it seem like the issue is with CN, when it's just the unfortunate coincidence that those often are walking together online

"Emotional abuse" is increasingly functioning as a morally and theologically acceptable rationale for divorce when no other clear biblical grounds can be identified.
More and more, ordinary marital conflict, disappointment, selfishness, or relational strain is being described with the language of abuse absent the concrete patterns of coercion, intimidation, domination, or control that have historically distinguished abuse from other forms of sin.
