My heart broke when I just watched the forced confession of this young boy on Iran’s state TV.
They tell him: “You are Mohareb.”

He asks: “What does that mean?”

He was so young, he didn’t understand that it means one thing in Islamic Republic:

While the world watches the war, the Islamic Republic of Iran hanged a 19-year-old boy today.

His name is Erfan Esfandiari and he was his parents' only child.

He did not kill anyone. He did not carry a weapon. His crime, according to the Islamic Republic, was opening a door. Sheltering protesters who were running from security forces. That was enough to send him to the gallows.

Erfan was one of 12 young men in the Alikhani Square case in Isfahan, arrested during the January 2026 uprising. Yesterday, all 12 were moved to quarantine. Today, the Islamic Republic hanged him.

This is a government that is so terrified of a generation that refuses to be silent, that it executes teenagers for the act of compassion.

Say his name. Because the regime is already trying to erase him. Because his mother and father are left with nothing, not even the right to grieve loudly.

Big Tech is suing a tiny Ohio town of Urbana after its city council listened to the residents and voted no on a massive AI data center

Urbana only has a population of about 11,000 but they’re going up against a $20 billion company

The company wants to put in a data center so massive it will use 8 times the entire town’s current annual electricity usage

The data center project would claim 565 acres

The$1 billion AI data center would likely use an enormous amount of water, up to hundreds of millions of gallons per year

For a project of this scale, the Thor Equities’ proposal annual usage could easily reach 300–1,800+ million gallons per year in water usage

“The city council also put a 12-month moratorium in place on all data centers, and on June 16th, they finalized the zoning regulations that said no data centers, leading Thor Equities to file a federal lawsuit against this tiny town. Laughably, they say they look forward to resolving this so they can continue being a strong partner for Urbana”

Even when residents and the city council vote for what they want, these massive companies won’t be stopped
