FCC update: My complaint about today’s @ATT outage was reviewed and served on AT&T.
AT&T now has 30 days to respond in writing.
If you were affected, document what happened and file a complaint: https://t.co/7191qWOCxe
@KHOU Yes. AT&T Fiber in Frisco. Two outages today.
AT&T initially showed no outage. Later, my ETA went from 4 PM → 6 PM → 3 AM.
I filed an FCC complaint, which was reviewed and served on AT&T today. I have screenshots of the timeline.
WFAA is now reporting on today’s widespread @ATT outage across DFW.
I’ve documented the Frisco experience all day: 2 outages, AT&T initially showing no outage, hours-long support waits & restoration estimates jumping from 4 PM → 6 PM → 3 AM. https://t.co/P0yfxi9ffQ
@wfaa
Another bizarre thing about @ATT Fiber:
Customers can CHECK if AT&T detected an outage—but apparently can’t REPORT one.
So when AT&T showed no outage this morning, customers were sent through individual troubleshooting.
How does this make sense?
Today’s @ATT Fiber outage communication in pictures:
3:14 PM → Restored by 4 PM
3:25 PM → Restored by 6 PM
3:39 PM → Restored by 3 AM tomorrow
An 11-hour ETA swing in 25 minutes.
The final screen says the outage wasn’t even reported until 3:12 PM.
Customers deserve better
This needs an explanation, @ATT.
Your app says the Frisco outage was “reported” at 3:12 PM.
There are documented Frisco Fiber outage reports from 7:29 AM—nearly 8 HOURS earlier.
Customers knew. Outage trackers knew. Why did AT&T take until 3:12 PM to officially report it?
Actual @ATT tech support today while insisting there was NO outage:
• Remove a wall plate & unplug the fiber equipment
• Disconnect EVERY device from Wi-Fi
• Equipment may be “too hot,” so unplug it and let it cool
Then AT&T confirms a major outage.
This is not satire.
This is getting ridiculous, @ATT.
3:14 PM: Restored by 4 PM
3:25 PM: Restored by 6 PM
3:39 PM: Restored by 3 AM TOMORROW
That’s an 11-hour change in 25 minutes.
Earlier, AT&T didn’t even recognize the outage. Now the outage area has expanded dramatically. What is happening?

The frustrating part about @ATT outages isn’t just losing service.
When it’s restored, will we learn what failed, why it happened twice, why the outage wasn’t detected, and what AT&T will do to prevent it again?
“Service restored” shouldn’t be the end of the explanation.
Update on today’s @ATT Fiber outage in Frisco:
3:14 PM: AT&T says restored by 4 PM.
3:25 PM: Now it’s 6 PM.
A two-hour delay added in 11 minutes.
Earlier, AT&T’s system didn’t even recognize the outage. This is why customers need accurate, transparent outage communication.

AT&T showed NO outage while customers were down. I got a 4–6 HOUR callback despite its “within five minutes” support claim.
Takes minutes. Hold them accountable.
@ATT advertises Fiber support “within five minutes.”
Reality: my callback was 4–6 HOURS during Frisco’s second outage today — while AT&T showed no outage.
John Stankey, Jeff McElfresh & Pascal Desroches: Is this the customer experience AT&T leadership considers acceptable?
AT&T advertises Fiber support “within five minutes.”
Reality today: my callback estimate was 4–6 HOURS during the second outage in Frisco, TX — while AT&T’s outage system showed no outage.

Second @ATT internet outage in Frisco, TX today. Their outage page shows nothing, yet customers across DFW are reporting the same outage. I had to use Downdetector just to confirm it.
Customer service callback: 4–6 HOURS.
I’m done. Ordering @Starlink.
Second @ATT internet outage in Frisco, TX today. Their outage page shows nothing, so I had to use Downdetector to confirm it. Customer service is no help and the callback wait is 4–6 HOURS.
Two outages in one day and no useful support. I’m done. Ordering @Starlink.
@Tesla The other day I was driving near a busy intersection in heavy traffic and my Tesla stopped early in order to let a car through traffic. The person waved at me. At that moment, I realize that Tesla FSD just made people act more friendly towards me. I felt like a genius.
