All Delhi University colleges are opening on the 28th July, the crowds will increase 10X after that. The BJP has very little time to counter the social media narrative and clean up this entire mess.
Tag them I don't think they even knows that DU is reopening on the 28th.
Dear students and faculty, your safety matters to us. Please note that any unlawful assemblies or demonstrations at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, which are strictly regulated as per the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, may invite legal action. Such activities can also pose serious risks to students’ personal safety and significantly impact their academic progress and professional opportunities. Accordingly, all students are urged to stay away from Jantar Mantar and to prioritise their safety and compliance with the law. Furthermore, you are advised to exercise caution as a significant amount of fake and misleading content is being created and circulated to fuel the situation.
Chaired a meeting of Secretaries to the Government of India, in which we discussed progress in rural development, agriculture, social welfare-related sectors and more.
Highlighted the need to strengthen reforms that further the welfare of the people. We also discussed how to build a Viksit Bharat in line with a 'Whole of Government' approach.
Emphasised the need to make India a hub for sports and a vibrant sports-related ecosystem.

We see the pain and anxiety of our students. It is unfortunate that vested interests are exploiting their fears instead of easing them. The need of the hour is to calm the situation and reduce their distress, so that they can focus on what truly matters: their studies and their future. @YeDesHaiMera@AICTE_INDIA@AIUIndia
"I say with all sense of responsibility, there is not a single lawless group in the whole of the country whose record of crime comes anywhere near that of the organized gang of criminals known as the Indian Police Force."
- Justice Anand Narain Mulla, Allahabad High Court, 1961
India's biggest problem is that it forgets.
Forgot CAA/NRC.
Forgot the Delhi riots.
Forgot the COVID fiasco.
Forgot the farmers' protest.
Forgot migrant workers walking hundreds of kilometres.
Forgot Manipur.
India keep forgetting and applaud the same government for "fixing" problems it helped create.
@lawandnation Even in exceptional circumstances, grounds of arrest need to be informed orally and in writing at least two hours prior to production before the Magistrate. At no point were there riots from the protestors. Do not set a misleading narrative.
Just a bit of context: What Mr. Chugh said is squarely applicable during normal circumstances but not during stone pelting or violent riots.
The law doesn't expect a police officer to immediately give grounds for arrest or allow the rioters to call for their advocates during riots or when stones are being pelted. Protection of law will kick in when you are brought to the
Police Station and the entire situation is brought under control. I.e., you are being processed.
Context is important. Your fundamental right as a rioter will always be subject to my fundamental right of having “law & order” and police men’s fundamental right of protection from bodily injury and duty of bringing law and order into control.
One can't have the Constitution in one hand and a stone in the other. Constitution doesn't recognise your right to throw stones. State has a duty to protect your life even when you are hell-bent on harming it.
This is a huge story in China right now given how big an outcry the installation of this caused back in 2017: Chinese tourism to South Korea was stopped, the Lotte Group was essentially shut down in China (nearly all of Lotte Mart's 112 Chinese stores were closed down due to "fire safety issues"), Hyundai and Kia had to close factories, k-pop disappeared from Chinese media, etc.
And now the US is just dismantling it to send it to the Middle-East...
So, quite literally, to have this, South Korea endured tens of billions in economic damage and did enormous harm to its relationship with its neighbor and largest trading partner... only for the US to take it back whenever it suited them.
The lesson writes itself.
